My mom tells me that when I was a kid
I wanted to be a tap dancing helicopter pilot.
I’ve never been in a helicopter and I can’t dance to save my life. But I’ve had a lot of other jobs: teacher, bartender, husband, janitor, copy machine operator, tutor, dad, grocery bagger, mentor, and of course, copywriter.
I like to use language to make people feel something. I want you to laugh; I want you to feel bad; I want you to feel elated. And the best way I’ve learned to do that is with the words I know.
